The second week of WWE Mixed Match Challenge kicked off with Raw General Manager Kurt Angle and SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan coming together to thank the WWE Universe for tuning in for last week’s historic first episode, exclusively on Facebook Watch.

With the stacked announce team of Michael Cole, Corey Graves and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix calling the action, the second week proved just as exciting, as the charismatic combination of Big E & Carmella (arriving in matching “Fabulous” gear) clashed with eight-time Intercontinental Champion The Miz & the undefeated Asuka.

In a frenzied match contested under traditional Mixed Tag Team rules, Big E kicked off the bout by toying with Miz. When Asuka tagged into the action, however, Carmella was quite hesitant to take her partner’s place. Big E calmed his partner’s nerves by encouraging the first-ever Ms. Money in the Bank to literally give her adversary an ”L” – a letter Asuka did away with in quick fashion. The Intercontinental Champion and Big E reengaged and traded control for a bit, before Carmella’s interference brought her Japanese foe back into the squared circle and led to Miz & Asuka punishing their opponents with ruthless “Yes!” Kicks.

In the wake of that double-assault, Miz took charge and grounded his massive opponent in impressive fashion. When the ladies returned to center stage, however, The Princess of Staten Island surprised one and all when she caught The Empress of Tomorrow with a vicious kick. When she made the mistake of trash-talking a little too much and even slapped her undefeated opponent, however, Asuka suddenly took control with a running kick to the face and locked in her patented Armbar. When Miz pulled Big E off the apron, Carmella had no choice but to tap out to give Asuka & Miz a huge first-round win!

As the dust cleared on the hard-fought match, WWE MMC host Renee Young grabbed a post-match interview with the victorious mixed tag team. Though Asuka responded to her question about teaming with Miz in Japanese, The A-Lister was more than happy to “translate,” as he described the ways that The Empress of Tomorrow felt inspired by his championship example.

Whether Miz’s interpretation was on point or not, the impressive win moves the tandem one step closer to winning $100,000 for their charity, Rescue Dogs Rock. Together, the self-appointed “Awe-ska” will now set their sights on the next step in the groundbreaking tournament, a second-round battle against “The Boss Club,” Sasha Banks & Finn Bálor, in Week 7 of the Mixed Match Challenge.

Naomi versus Liv Morgan

They lock up and Liv with a clean break but Naomi kicks Liv from the corner and slides into a slap. Naomi with a near fall and then she goes for a jackknife cover. Liv with a backslide for a near fall. Naomi with a kick to the head and the referee stops Naomi because Liv appears injured. Liv was playing possum and she sends Naomi into the turnbuckles. Liv with boots to the back to send her to the mat. Liv gets a near fall.

Liv with a Japanese stranglehold while Natalya, Carmella, and Lana make their way to the ring.

Liv with a clothesline and Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring.

Naomi gets to the ropes and Naomi with a round kick and sunset flip for the three count.

Winner: Naomi

After the match, Ruby and Sarah attack Naomi. Becky comes into the ring to help Naomi. Natalya with a discus clothesline to Becky. Lana with a bicycle kick to Ruby. Natalya throws Lana over the top rope. Carmella with a thrust kick to Liv. Natalya and Carmella throw Liv over the top rope. Natalya with a clothesline to Carmella and she leaves the ring when Naomi and Becky return to the ring. Becky tries to throw Naomi over the top rope to the floor but Naomi lands on the apron.

Charlotte Flair comes out and she tells Becky she loves that. It is clearly every woman for themselves on Sunday. That is why friendships and alliances do not work when you try for an opportunity to face her at Wrestlemania. She wishes luck to all of you, especially the winner.

Tamina Snuka, Natalya, and Carmella (with Lana) versus Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, and Liv Morgan

Liv and Natalya start things off and they lock up. Natalya with a side head lock take down and Liv with a head scissors. Liv with a side head lock and take down. Natalya with a head scissors and Liv escapes. They lock up and Natalya with a wrist lock. Liv with a reversal and Liv with an matrix on a clothesline attempt. Natalya with a discus clothesline for a near fall and then she tries for the Sharpshooter but Liv goes to the floor.

Natalya with a knee and punches while Liv is in the ropes. Liv with a forearm and Ruby tags in. Ruby and Liv send Natalya to the mat. Natalya runs Ruby into the corner and tags in Carmella. They kick Ruby in the midsection. Carmella with a moonwalk after avoiding a clothesline. Carmella with a satellite head scissors and drop kick. Ruby with an Irish whip but she runs into an elbow. Carmella stops Sarah on the apron but Ruby stops Carmella. Sarah tags in and she punches Carmella. Sarah with a Cobra Clutch. Carmella with a jaw breaker but Sarah knocks Natayla off the apron. Carmella with an O’Connor Roll for a near fall. Tamina tags in and she connects with clotheslines and punches. Tamina with a Samoan drop and she goes up top.

Ruby distracts the referee and Liv pushes Tamina off the turnbuckles and Sarah with a cartwheel knee drop for the three count.

Winners: Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, and Liv Morgan

After the match, Ruby has a mic and she says she bets everybody in Orlando believes in magic. Magic isn’t real. It is just like each and every one of you . . . phony. You pretend your way through your dreary lives and you are all miserable. You all need a strong does of reality. Take a good look. The Riott Squad is real. Their destruction is real. Their success is real. That is why Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan are joining her by officially joining the first Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

All those other women . . .

Charlotte Flair’s music interrupts and she comes out with a mic.

Charlotte congratulates them on their victory. That was quite the speech. Charlotte says she is a dreamer. She believes in the power and magic of her dreams. Find something you are passionate about and your world can change. If you believe in reality, here is a dose of reality. Actions have consequences. Charlotte introduces someone who will teach each of you a lesson.

Naomi comes out.

Charlotte says she wants to bring out someone who wants to make you pay for your actions.

Becky Lynch comes out.

They make their way to the ring and the Riott Squad meet them in the aisle. Charlotte with a boot to Logan. Naomi with a springboard round kick to Liv. Becky with an Exploder to Ruby. Becky gives Liv an Exploder.
