R Truth is in the ring with Carmella for TruthTV. Truth welcomes everyone to Smackdown 1000. In all of the years that TruthTV has been on the air, there have been a lot of memorable history making moments, but none like tonight. Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring.
Stephanie thanks them for that introduction. Stephanie says she was the first ever General Manager of Smackdown and she had a vision. It is so incredible to see that vision come to life on the 1000th episode of Smackdown.
Before Truth can ask his first question, Shane McMahon’s music plays and the Shane-O Shuffle is in full effect as he shuffles his way to the ring.
Shane officially welcomes everyone to Smackdown 1000. Shane says that video package flooded his head with so many memories. Shane says this event would not have been possible without all of you. Stephanie says that Shane panders to the crowd and they eat it up. Shane stops Stephanie and welcomes her to the A Show. Stephanie says that Smackdown is a show but it is the second longest episodic television show, behind Raw.
Stephanie says on Raw they hold things to a higher standard. They wouldn’t kick off the show with the likes of TruthTV. They would want to start off a little bigger and bolder.
Shane says they try to put things like TruthTV on and things that people want to see.
Vince McMahon’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Vince says the people don’t want to see Shane and Stephanie bicker. They came for entertainment. Vince suggests . . . DANCE BREAK!!!
